This is a pic of where it starts. I got myself a Pro-Tools rig for my laptop almost exactly three years ago and began recording in earnest. I have a photo of a huge gin martini from that day as I ended up super fucked up at a 60’s strip mall’s bar in the burbs. Happened to be where Guitar Center may yet live. I had some dude in a band I met drive me home in my old Cadillac and crash in the spare room.
For three years that’s about how regimented my life has been making this thing. We get a lot of werk done at our studio but mostly oops, party. Pete’s basement is where real discipline happens. I finish a lot of lyrics there as it is very monastic.
I guess that’s it. We chip away for an epoch then somehow realize it’s done. -ctt.
Distortland pre-orders are available now at our webstore or on iTunes.
Plus, we have some great physical bundles and a bootleg LP available exclusively through Dine Alone’s webstore. This bootleg LP, I don’t wanna toot my own horn, but this one’s a real beaut, so you might wanna pick that up while you can.
