Philly by tata. I didn’t notice this cool building last time I came out of the train station here. I think I really like it.
Had a hellaciously fun gig at Webster Hall NYC last night and the little club in Brooklyn was great the night before. I think we’re kinda on fire right now (knock on my wooden head)
Portland, Oregon-based singer-songwriter Anya Marina, who turned heads with her 2009 album, Slow & Steady Seduction: Phase II, and landed in SPIN’s Breaking Out section, is back November 15 with a new EP called Spirit School. Like Seduction, it boasts collabos with some of her rockin’ pals, including Dandy Warhols frontman Courtney Taylor — hear their song “Whatsit” below!

Well here is the video for THIS IS THE TIDE. Click thru to Spinner for what Fathead has to say about it. Click thru anyway, hosting these videos ain’t cheap, and Spinner’s doing us a solid.
Dandywarhols.com will be unavailable for maybe four hours on Sunday morning (Pacific) to replace a busted something-or-other. Also, our server people are upgrading their network this weekend, so service might be spotty. Why don’t you go see a movie or something.
Portland rock club Satyricon , dubbed by some as CBGB of the West Coast, will be closing its doors forever in October, but not without a month-long send off for a quarter century of service to the Portland rock community.
When The Dandys were asked to participate in this send off, we said “of course.” Some of the band’s most memorable moments from its formative years took place between Satyricon’s graffitied walls. It was a no-brainer to ask Swoon 23 and Sugarboom, friends and Tim/Kerr label mates, to join us. Yeah, that’s a pretty legendary line-up. But then we thought, huh, what’s missing from this picture. Well, it turned out that missing piece was Eric Hedford. So, for the first time in over twelve years, Eric Hedford, drummer and founding member of The Dandy Warhols, will be performing with the band.
I know it sounds too good to be true. And if you were born before 1979, it is. See, we thought it that since this is kind of a scene reunion show that we have the party be for ages thirty-one (31) and over. Even worse news, I’m sure there will be no smoking allowed. Have you ever seen a clear Satyricon? I haven’t. Seems wrong.
