And if you look over to your right (on the webpage, not in real life) you can listen to/download “Little Drummer Boy” via the widget and listen to it at least three or four times. Are you even too lazy to look to the right? Is that what you are telling me? Fine, download it here.

I wonder if I can get fired and then shunned from the group in order to win this guitar. I bet I will just for making this joke.
Our label mate Logan Lynn is receiving significant ink ‘n pixels about his new record From Pillar to Post so we thought we would throw Logan an old fashioned Dandys-style listening party this Sunday night. Hell yeah. And if you’re in Portland you can come to Logan’s party for freezies. After sufficient digestion of Logan’s awesome new disc, Rescue, the famous DJ who shares the same DNA as Zia because she is Zia, will be spinning tunes on what she calls a turntable, because that’s what DJs do. This party will have food stuff and drink stuff, and probably someone will attempt to take their clothes off. Then what? I don’t know, probably something “adult.” (This party is twenty-one and over, but really if you’re under twenty-one, stop trying to grow up so fast and enjoy being so adorably young.)
Here are the details in the popular un-Gothman-rambling prose version:

If you told me you thought this was the greatest movie ever made I wouldn’t actually be able to say you were wrong so I would just say “yeah or Star Wars”
Hey, here is the pre-sale dealie for the Italian Christmas shows in Seattle and Portland. Lee wanted me to tell you that those who buy pre-sale tickets will get five bucks ($5) off in our merch store. Well that’s good news!
Oh. The login is ‘thedandywarhols‘ and the password is ‘aresound‘.
As Dandy Warhols, we like to take a different approach to Christmas: a little more Old World and a lot more jaunty. Take Italy. Their holiday season is comparable in length to the common American holiday season, but with its baked eel and lumps of coal and mash-ups with what we think of as Halloween traditions – La Befana the Epiphany witch, children in costumes going from door to door for treats – it seems a hell of a lot more festive than a fat man whipping flying deer to bring you an iPhone, doesn’t it? We are on a mission to convince Christendom that Italy does it best. But these things take time; Rome wasn’t bilked in a day. Easing into the task we commence this year with our annual Christmas shows with the introduction of a sliver of sunny Italy to the Northwest’s dreary environs. Just a taste, a Fellini twist on the usual Dandys holiday performance, with shows on December 11th at Nuemos in Seattle and December 12th and 13th at Portland’s Wonder Ballroom. Ticket link on Wednesday.
And not “cheap” as in a budget motel with crack pipe burns on the bedspread and someone screaming in a far off place, how dare you equate the music of Love and Rockets interpreted by loads of cool cats that way. You ought to have your head examined. This tribute to Love and Rockets called New Tales to Tell, featuring our little Inside the Outside, is just $3.99 today only at Amazon. Click that deal below.
Sound check is over for The Dandy Warhols. The band has dispersed to the grassy courtyard next to the bar where they’ll be playing tonight and Zia McCabe — keyboardist, percussionist and organizational brains for the Dandy Warhols — takes a bag of rough-hewn tobacco out of her purse and rolls a cigarette as her 5-year-old daughter Matilda runs by in pigtails and a black dress. McCabe shakes her head and takes a sip of her beer as she wishes aloud that her daughter will steer clear of the bartenders who work at the venue; she’s heard the women in question cursing violently while discussing their reveling ways and wants Matilda nowhere near them.
