Some stooge. Been runnin' things 'round here since 2000.

That’s When Reality Bites You In The Ass

So, our old pal David Bowie comes to us and says, “Hey, I have this tour coming up this fall, I would love it if you guys would play with me.” To which we say, “Sure.” Mr. Bowie’s “A Reality Tour” kicks off on October 7th, and winds through The Continent before ending on November 26th.

Shifty On Accident

If most words are to be believed, we will release our next single, “You Were The Last High”, on July 28th of this year. We think you will be hearing the tune on radio well before that date, but what do we know?

Our Love Can Wait…Can’t It?

We regret to announce that the American release date our new record, Welcome To The Monkey House, has been pushed back once again. The record will now hit shelves in the US on August 19th. While we really cannot divulge the details behind this decision to push the record back, we can safely say that the release of another Frank Sinatra compilation has nothing to do with it.

Yellow Post-It Note For Milk

In case you were hip-a-mo-tized by our new yellow surrounding and completely blanked it (it’s okay, it happens to the best of us), we have a brand new record we like to call Welcome To The Monkey House. You may want to look into this if you, say, worship The Dandy Warhols and the ground they walk on. But what is this, you say? You live in North America and cannot find this record anywhere? Crying shame! Who is responsible for this outrage? Well, because of “peripheral” elements throwing their weight around, the North American release of Monkey House was moved back to August 5th. I know, I know. Hold my hand, everything will be alright.

The Black (Widow) Sessions

Hey ho. We’re going to be on French radio Franceinter on May 27th at 9pm (GMT +1). What, you say? Your radio has become infested with a nest of spiders and you fear turning it on will kill them? Don’t worry about it, baby. The broadcast will also be online. Just travel to RadioFrance and click on ‘Ecouter en direct” and your spiders are safe…for now..

Flipping Channels

If you’re up for watching some TV, we’re going to be on the Jonathan Ross Show on May 8th and Later with Jools Holland on May 20th. Check it out, if you get a chance.

UPDATE: Yeah, check out MTV Europe this Friday, the 9th, at 5pm. We’ll be on The Fridge.

Stay Locked Up At Home

BBC Radio 1 will broadcast an hour of our Bristol gig on the 19th. If you can’t make it to Bristol, get wasted at home and listen with Steve Lemacq instead. On the downside, you’re not going to meet anyone to sleep with at home. Hey, it’s up to you.

A Laugh Riot, Alice

Check out the May issues of X-Ray and Bang for some really funny Dandy Warhols interviews. If only Gore Vidal were this affable…

Calling For More Good Red Wine

We have added some additional dates to our original European itinerary. You may want to check out the SHOWS page to see if we’re stopping by your city.

Chosen Ones

NME has selected ‘We Used To Be Friends’ as thier single of the week (April 28-to whenever the week has expired). Nice one.

Delayed Pleasures

Capitol Records has decided to delay the North American release of Welcome To The Monkey House another two weeks, from July 22 to August 5. The international release of the record is unaffected by this shift.

Enregistrement du Mois

Our friends at Rock & Folk have selected Welcome To The Monkey House as their album of the month for May. Merci, amis.

Day Out Shopping

If you’re going to be out shopping anywhere in Europe May the 5th, you may want to swing by your local recorditorium to purchase the new single from The Dandy Warhols called ‘We Used To Be Friends’. And if you have money to burn, buy the seven inch vinyl and DVD singles as well. Then, treat yourself to lunch, because shopping is hard work.

Oh, We Have Songs

We were poking around in the basement recently and found this cryptic list of thirteen ancient pirate sea shanties. How it got there is anyone’s guess, as Oregon has never really seen it’s fair share of pirates. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that these strange little ditties shared the exact same titles as our next record, “Welcome To The Monkey House”. Sweet Jesus!
