Yes they’re basically monster movies and yes the female characters have as much development as a drippy nosed 14 year old boy BUT every winter I watch them religiously with a fire going and candles burning and every winter I love them.

I’d never seen an interview with Frank Zappa. I must say its surprising to me that he’s such a cool cat. Having grown up periodically hearing his zany music (and vocal style) I guess I just assumed he was a zany guy.
Frustratingly, measures to require GMO labeling narrowly failed in California and Washington. If Oregon fails we may never build up enough steam to get GMOs labeled in the United States, like 64 other countries already require.
This isn’t just an issue for Oregon, national support is needed! We’ve made doing your part simple. Just download our version of OHIO and $0.92 will go to the Yes On Measure 92 Campaign (you can also donate more with all extra going directly to the campaign). Make Oregon the first state to require GMO labeling and give other states a chance to follow suit.
Courtney & I will be performing this song at a local benefit this Sunday, October 12th. If the footage turns out we’ll share it with you as part of our victory celebration on Nov 4th!
How many Bluebird marquees did you guys send in? Fifty? Sixty? I should do a whole post of JUST Bluebird marquees.
Pretty sound policy I guess?
The captivating Bonfire Beach.
Took this 900 horsepower 1923 Chevy for a little spin today. Felt dangerous. So loud. But really fun. -F.
This is Denver, Colorado.
There have not been posts the past few days because great photos were scarce. It scares me – what if no one takes a photo the remainder of the tour, what kind of trouble will I be in? Turns out no trouble at all! But I digress…

You are one click away from making a difference. We are offering a download of The Dandys’ cover of ‘OHIO’ for $1.92 — $0.92 of which goes straight to funding Yes on Measure 92 via the Oregon Right To Know campaign. How cute.
This all ties into an upcoming benefit I’m co-organizing called Portland Sings Out! at Star Theater in NW Portland Sunday, October 12th, where Courtney will be performing an acoustic rendition of OHIO. Ah, it all makes sense now!
Now we have three easy ways to be a part of positive change right this minute:
No international incident as we cross back to the US, fully loaded for Cleveland. Rock tonight at House of Blues [TICKETS].

No, no, Portland’s water is still safe from fluoridation, thank goodness. This time the problem is with GMOs. The issue isn’t whether or not GMOs are good or bad, it’s about labeling. We consumers deserve the right to know exactly what goes in our food. This is a grassroots campaign going up against some of the biggest food and chemical corporations in America. (You know, those bullies with the nearly unlimited funds and power.) By voting YES on Measure 92, you can make sure that food sold in the state of Oregon is required to list all GMO ingredients on its packaging. Sixty-four other countries have already provided this for their citizens. Let’s help Oregon become the first state in the USA to make GMO labeling mandatory. Together we can help lead the rest of America in the effort to make corporations honest about what they put in our food.
This all ties into an upcoming benefit I’m co-organizing called Portland Sings Out! at Star Theater on October 12th where Courtney Taylor-Taylor will be performing an acoustic rendition of CSNY’s “OHIO”.
