Oh hi. Have we not posted anything on our old dumb website this year at all? Well sorry!
Wanted to let you know that Zia will be defending her crown Schoolhouse Supplies 15th Annual Celebrity Spelling Bee January 29th in Portland. McCabe’s won the last two and is gunning for the Three-peat. Will she prove v-i-c-t-o-r-i-o-u-s? I don’t know, what’s that spell?
From the Schoolhouse Supplies website:
The Celebrity Spelling Bee is our annual fundraiser where our community of supporters come together to celebrate the success of Schoolhouse Supplies, and to honor those who helped make it happen.
This evening of intelligent fun, held on Thursday, January 29th, 2015 (5:00-9:00 pm) at the Portland Art Museum, brings together past Spelling Bee winners like 2014 champion, Zia McCabe, along with new challengers all vying for the title of Portland’s Spelling Champion.

As 2014 bites it, we want to take a second here to give some heartfelt thanks.
Thanks to our home and road crew, who are all pros and the best in the business and without whom we literally couldn’t do what we do.
Thanks to our band and business management for keeping all the frequent flyer miles in order and making sure we have kombucha in the dressing room so we don’t cry.
Thanks to the venue crews, the people who make sure you have a fun, safe time seeing us live.
Thanks to all of the labels we work with for helping us sell records to a world that’s crammed with great records.
Thanks to all the chefs.
Thanks to all the drivers.
Thanks to all the weed dealers.
Thanks to our patient families.
And most of all thanks to you, our friends, without whom all this could not and would not happen. Bless you.
Now let’s go kick 2015 in the ass!
We have been and ever shall be The Dandy Warhols.

Pete and Zia trying to get the ‘Wasp in the Lotus’ keyboard sound.
Pete: Well which keyboard was it on?
Zia: Well it wasn’t the keyboard. It was the pedal.
Pete: My broken Line 6 pedal? I have like 8 of them.
Zia: Oh duh that’s why I can’t find it. I’ve only found 7.
We are not sponsored by nor is this an endorsement of Line 6 or its products.

‘Tis the season for giving. Every year we donate $1 from the sale of each ticket of our holiday show to a different deserving recipient. This year we’ve selected Ethos Music Center. Ethos is dedicated to the promotion of music and music-based education for youth in underserved communities. In a time when music/arts programs are mostly a memory in public schools, organizations like this are crucial to exposing and educating America’s youth.
We’re also honored to have Etho’s band, Death By Thumb perform at this year’s concert at Crystal Ballroom. Sat, Dec 20th.
If you’d like to donate further to Ethos please visit their website or booth at the event.
Happy Holidays!

I went and saw Fleetwood Mac last week. They played for nearly 3 hours and I knew every song but one. Jeeziz. I’ve never bought a Fleetwood Mac record in my life. What a fugging hit machine.
