About: Organism
Organism is a new non profit contemporary art institution, headed by a familiar name, Jeff Jahn whose serious track record and commitment to high caliber visual art exhibitions with an international outlook are hardly strangers to Portland. This commitment to exhibitions extends to a particular focus on frequent projects by significant outside curators.Organism is based on three principles of equal importance: first, The quality of the work and the integrity with which it presented; second, operating a nonprofit sustainability, based on the principles of the most successful businesses; third, creating a conversation between creative artists, designers, engineers, filmmakers, architects, business people, ecologists, musicians, entrepreneurs and scientists.
Future shows will continue to expose Portland to significant contemporary art in interesting and challenging settings.
