It took me this long to realize as with their underdeveloped ideas re their interiors they also had underdeveloped ideas about power. They saw having power over people as the ultimate power. Dandys Contribute To Malkovich Project

On the silver screen, John Malkovich has found fame as an actor, director, and Spike Jonze movie subject. Now, he’s putting out a record. Like a Puppet Show is out on vinyl for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event on November 27.
This is the first in a series of releases Malkovich has planned with his collaborators, director/photographer Sandro and producer/composer Eric Alexandrakis. For Like a Puppet Show, Malkovich read Plato’s Cave Allegory (as interpreted by Alexandrakis) over an original piece of music. Then the results were sent to a bunch of musicians, who contributed remixes and interpretations, including Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon, OMD, Efterklang, Placebo, THE DANDY WARHOLS [emphasis added], Blondie’s Chris Stein, the Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordan, and more.
Says Courtney Taylor-Taylor: “It was fantastic to work with that Malkovich voice. And how about that monologue. Incredible. None of that pretentious highbrow shit going on here. Just some good ol down-to-earth Platonic theory regarding sensory perception.”

Courtney’s Books: Dictators’ Homes, by Peter York
This is the hardest I’ve laughed in a while. This guy has an arsenal of reference points and he can go off like the Queen of queens. And Coupland’s forward really sets up your head to fully appreciate what’s going on here. Damn this is a good read, even though it’s laid out as a coffee tabler.
This shit cracks me up. He goes thru Lenin, Idi Amin, that Romanian psychopath, Hitler etc. It’s worth having.

18 kilometers of tunnels filled with booze under this place. This famous Champagne town of Epernay has more kilometers of tunnels than it does roads.

Went to a tasting at Castellane. Mmm. Big bottle.
I had to pick some grapes. Of course. They’re almost ready.

I went to this amazing fortress/castle and I must say it’s my favorite. Wow what a cursed place tho. I couldn’t really capture the strength of it in a photo but it seemed as impregnable as any I’ve seen. Turns out everyone who owned it pretty much got their ass handed to them. Or their head.

CTT’S Books: “The Word For World Is Forest” by Ursula K. LeGuin
Some people are just really good writers. This is your basic Avatar/Dances with Wolves-white man come and take our land stories but somehow this is worth doing again. Well at least the way she has done it.
Why the eff do I feel like I’ve grown as a person from reading it? Same with that Kingsmen movie. I somehow feel like I’ve learned something important which will make me more capable of dealing with the world and being a person I want to be. I suppose that’s why humankind has been telling stories since before we came down outta the trees.
I am curious as to why she didn’t call it “THEIR word for world is forest”.
