Response To ‘This Is The Tide’ Rolling In

Hey, lots of people are seriously digging the brand new track from The Capitol Years, “This is the Tide.” Really guys, we have received a tremendous response on the interwebs so far, it’s blowing us away. Thanks for those who bought it, and thanks for letting us know what you think.  I haven’t talked to Fathead today, but I’m sure he’s a proud papa.

(Yeah, that’s Fatty singing lead on that track. He wrote this tune with Zia. Break that out on Taco Tuesday trivia night.)

If you have a friend you think would dig on it, don’t be selfish, brother – share the song with them in this little player here.

Graçias.

Tour Pics: Belgium

We’ll be on this stage in an hour.  Belgium.

Here’s the bill for this festy.  That’s Gang of Two on now. Then us. Then Sisters of Mercy.

I just woke up from three days in Amsterdam.  Notice Motley Crue on this list?  Tommy took a cab from here to Amsterdam to see our show and hang out for a couple days.  Apparently it cost around 500 bucks.  Love that guy.

CTT Tour Pics: Packing Light

Here is everything I’m traveling with for the next few days.  Feels good.  Very few possessions.  Very head clearing.  Probably impossible as a lifestyle.

Here is a list of the items.  They’re kind of interesting.  I mean that the combination/collection of items to comfortably travel/tour with is the interesting part. The spanish fan is probably the only individual item which is somewhat interesting in and of itself.

Spare T, Spare sleeveless T, socks, underwear, phone charger, mini pit stick, passport, europower adaptor, tour laminate, tourbook, moisturizer, sharpie, reading glasses, sunglasses, concealer, eye shadow, earplugs, gum, wallet, two black lighters, fan, mini toothbrush and paste,  manpurse, scarf. Plus the clothes I’m wearing.

The thing I wasn’t prepared for is bicycling in the rain in Amsterdam.

Damn Amster.

CTT Tour Pics: Paris to Lucerne

Alright, I really can’t  find words to describe how completely badass our show was last night in Paris.  Um….nope.  Damn.  One of the best, if not the best ever.  Damn.

Well here’s beautiful Lucerne today (Switzerland) which is also a brand of milk that I grew up with.  How much do ya wanna bet that I’m gonna find some absolutely wicked fondue here tonight.

SATURDAY 24 JULY – SANTANDER

My first photo of the tour.  Santander, Spain.

First show of the tour.

Here’s the beach (just to the right of the stage) where  I was easily the pastiest white guy they saw all day.

“Sometimes…no, most times it’s better when I just shut the fuck up and rock.”

Interview: Fathead on Triple-J

Hey, here is an interview Fathead gave with Triple-J in Melbourne last week, talking about living in Australia, festivals, and the new Capitol Years record.  At the end of the interview, you will hear half of the newest Dandys song, “This is the Tide”.   The second half of the song is just as good, so you should buy it when it comes out wherever you live.
