This Monday (13 JULY 2021) at 2pm PST – Join Peter Holmstrom and Zia McCabe along with Tim Burgess for Tim’s Listening Party, Thirteen Tales Edition. Pete and Zia will have some insights on their account (@petedx11 and @djziarescue) with some insights from CTT via he Dandys Twitter @TheDandyWarhols.
LIVE CHAT TUESDAY: Courtney will be chatting on Twitter at @vcastmusic tomorrow (Tuesday, 10 April) at 12:30pm PDT. PRIZES! That you can win. Also, tedious questions answered. Think up some! It can’t be that hard.
I just texted to what I think is my Twitter account. Is there any way to check?
FROM GOTHMAN 503-XXX-XXXX
Yes, that’s it.
FROM COURT 503-XXX-XXXX
Ah. Well I guess put something on our site to tell folks I’m gonna try to be that guy.
Hey, everyone. Happy New Year. Courtney’s going to try to tweet every day in 2012. Follow at @CourtneyTaylor2, because he has lots to say. Also follow the band’s official twitter at @TheDandyWarhols, just because.
So I’m thinking about getting a whippet. But my landlord just said I couldn’t have pets. The nerve! (Like I didn’t know already.) Should I just move or what? Keep in mind that I have lived int his apartment for six years and before that Fathead lived here for six years. It’s obviously the best apartment ten feet from an interstate in the WORLD. Sure, it will never survive even the smallest of earthquakes, it really feels like home. But dogs are pretty funny.
ITEM: When I was talking about working on a new record, I did not mean the Capitol Records retrospective slated for release in a few months. But yeah, that’s coming. Two new Dandys song? Never before seen photographs? Full greyscale packaging? What? Want a preview of it?
Wait, I think that might be one of those shirts you get at Urban Outfitters. Guys, the Capitol logo is a classic. It’s the greatest logo in all of music. Yes, even better than that dog staring into an old-timey phonograph. That dog died 100 years ago, it’s depressing.

ITEM: Fathead’s on Twitter now. You can follow him at @fatheaddeboer. Court still tweets at @courtneyTaylor2, and Lee helms the band Twitter at @TheDandyWarhols. I also just spend like an hour setting up a Beat The World Twitter @BeatTheWorldRec. What’s the deal with this Fail Whale? Why is he so smug?
(I had the idea today that if Dorothy Parker TWEETED her classic line, “boys don’t make passes at girls who wear glasses”, that 90% of her responses would not only get the joke, but most of those would angrily try to prove her wrong. “Actually I take great offense to this statement. I wear glasses and I sleep with ten different guys a week.” Crumbs.)

ITEM: Short notice notice – DJRescue (ZIA!) has got her thing going at Jinx (232 NW 12) this afternoon, 4-7. I challenge you to stop by, you peoples at Weiden + Kennedy, you peoples at Powells, you people at other places working within a ten block radius.

Well, that’s it. There were a couple of real news items in there, somewhere.
Hey man, what are you up to? We’re still in the development phase for this site, figuring out what we want to do, what should go where, all that jazz. We’ll figure it all out. Thanks for coming by to read what we have going on so far. A lot more is on the way, for sure.
At the Oddy, we’re finishing up out Earth To The Remix EP Vol 2 which is due to be in stores on April 18 for Record Store Day. With all-new remixes by The Dandy Warhols, it’s something you really should not miss. (And if you’re a subscriber to our Subscription Service, you know you won’t miss a damn thing.)
Got Twitter? We do. Follow us over there. (We gotta come up with a better word for “tweets”, though. I mean, this is Oregon, we have bigger birds than ones that go “tweet.”) Anyway, that’s over there, so check it out.
Finally, our Beat The World label mates Spindrift and The Upsidedown are now on tour in the western U.S. Together, in some cases – like tonight, here in Portland. You would feel really dumb if you missed these two awesome groups. “And what did you do while Spindrift and The Upsidedown were in town?” “Oh, I had my thump up my butt.” No.
More news on the way soon, I’m sure. Unless we get hit by an asteroid. Did you hear about that? Scary. Take cover.
