NEW video from Fathead’s Immigrant Union, this is the latest single I CAN’T RETURN. If you’re seeing BRMC this weekend in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, guess what? Immigrant Union will be opening for ’em. Neat, huh?
Sad news this Sunday morning with the word of Lou Reed’s passing at age 71. To say that his impact on every person you or I know was deep is a gross understatement. Here’s lookin’ at you, Lou.
Hark! A video from Corona Capital last Saturday in Mexico City. Check out “Mohammed” and “Shakin” in HD, which is almost better than being there in person, I say.
Last spring The Dandy Warhols kicked off the celebration of the thirteenth anniversary of their watershed album Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia by performing each of the album’s thirteen tracks in thirteen different locations around downtown Portland. These stripped down guerrilla street performances were filmed for posterity by Into The Woods and will premiere Sunday, October 27th at the Hollywood Theater in NE Portland.
The evening is set to begin with acoustic performances of Dandys tunes by friends of the band featuring:
Dave of Dave’s Killer Bread, Mike Allred of Madman Comics fame, Rick Bain of Rick Bain and the Genius Position, Nigel Ledgerwood of 1776 Jsun Adams of The Upsidedown, Megan Pickerel & Herman Jolly of Buzzyshyface, and Highway.
Followed by the video premiere
Finishing with a Q&A session with The Dandy Warhols.
Plus: do you have a favorite Dandys song? You could perform it on-stage at the event in front of Courtney and Zia and Peter and everyone. Record your cover ‘demo’ and post it on our Facebook timeline and tag it #TheDandyWarholsCoverOK. If it’s the best cover ever, we’ll put you on stage!

Plus, one lucky fan will have an opportunity to perform a Dandys cover live on-stage. Fans can record their most interesting Dandys cover – from 1995’s Dandys Rule OK all the way through to 2012’s This Machine. To enter, post your cover song link on the Dandys Facebook timeline (at ) with the hashtag #TheDandyWarholsCoverOK. Anyone can enter, but to win one must attend the show at Hollywood Theater October 27th. Because the prize is playing the song, duh, if you’re not there how can you even win?
Tickets for the show are $12 and are available at the door. This event is all-ages.
Do you remember the good ol days when we’d play in Mexico City and I’d dress up like a WWI flying ace but really I just looked like I wanna be Tommy Lee? Yeah, me too. I miss those days.
Look, it’s an interview from 2000 by our friend Jerry Bryant at JBTV featuring a sleepy/punchy/hungry Court, Pete and Fatty, intercut with an in-studio performance of “World Come On” from 2008.
Check out more Dandys JBTV performances HERE. Also, visit their site, it’s pretty great.
